Todays event in history:

13th April 1741

Royal Military Academy forms at Woolwich, London, England
(that's where I did my initial training back in 1970, Gunner Raymond Martin, Royal Artillery. Unhappily I only lasted one year as a Gunner, then the Army threw me out due to asthma.)

Todays cycling:

I fought an hour through the gusty wind, it was nice and sunny though and twelve degrees centigrade warm. Twenty four kilometers in 1hr 6min, not fast but lets face it I'm over the sixties mark (that's a subtle way of asking for praise).

More again tomorrow, smile :-)
